Vintage machinery day at the museum a huge success!

This year’sVintage Vehicle and Market Garden Machinery Day & Airing of the Quilts was an engaging day for the whole family.

For this year’s State Heritage Festival the Azelia Ley Museum held its Vintage Vehicle and Market Garden Machinery Day & Airing of the Quilts, in the Museums’ grounds in beautiful Manning Park, Hamilton Hill.

The day was a roaring success, with the weather holding out until late afternoon, and with crowds of about 800 attending, for hours, with a steady stream of enthusiastic visitors to both the Homestead and Wagonhouse Museums.

Innovative old hand-made Market Garden Machinery from the last century was demonstrated in the Wagonhouse, to the delight of the many children that visited, and the displays of patchwork quilts on the Homestead verandahs was appreciated by the female visitors.
