What are the Museum's opening hours?

The Azelia Ley Homestead is open to the public on Sunday afternoons from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, or at other times by appointment.

Come on down and stroll the grounds of the Homestead and beautiful Manning Park at any time!

How can I search the Museum's collection?

To see images and artifacts that are available in the Azelia Ley Homestead Museum online collection, please visit our Image Gallery and use the Search Box at the bottom of the page.

Alternatively you can take a Virtual Tour of the Museum, explore the Wagon House Museum, or visit individual Rooms.

How can I find information about the local history of Cockburn?

The best way to find information about the local history of Cockburn is to come in to the Azelia Ley Homestead Museum and chat to one of our friendly volunteers.

The Cockburn Libraries are another great place to find information about the local history of Cockburn.

How can I volunteer at the Museum?

Come in and introduce yourself on Sunday between 1.30-4.30pm or Contact Us and arrange to come and meet us informally from 10am on a Monday morning, when we gather at the Museum for a chat about the upcoming week’s events.

You can also Contact Us to become a member of the Historical Society, or come to the Historical Society monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of the month at 4.30pm at the Museum, and request to join.

How can I donate artifacts to the Museum?

If you have artefacts related in any way to our local area or local families, please give us a call and tell us the story, or, for smaller items bring them to the Museum on a Monday morning from 10am, where the Historical Society can assess them for display.

We do have limited space, but are happy to redirect your donated artefacts to more appropriate Museums if necessary.
