Davilak Walking Trail

The Davilak Heritage Trail is situated behind the Azelia Ley Homestead Museum and can be accessed by walking through the gates behind the museum.
The trail is within the Beeliar Regional Park. It runs from Claygate Road in the north to Azelia Road in the south. At various points along the heritage trail you will find lookout points, from where there are panoramic views over the Indian Ocean, where the wrecks of 63 ships are known to lie. The majestic building of the old South Fremantle Power Station can also be clearly seen, with views overlooking the entire City of Cockburn.
If you’re looking for some spectacular views or to get some exercise then take a walk along the heritage trail. You will have a pleasant experience.
A walking map is available from the museum which details the various lookout points along the trail. A thorough walk using the map will take you about two hours to complete. You can also download the Walking in the City of Cockburn booklet [ – 1.32Mb] and check out the Heritage Trail (Page 18, titled Hamilton Hill).
